PIP Setup Instructions For Microsoft Outlook Express 6™ With Microsoft Windows 95, 98, ME & 2000
Select Tools from the menu at the top of the screen.
Select Accounts from the Tools Menu
The Internet Accounts window will come up.
Click on the Mail tab.
Click on the Add button.
Select Mail
An Internet Connection Wizard screen will come up
In the Display Name box put the name that you would like to appear in the From field when you send email. Example: John Smith
Click Next
The Internet Email Address screen will come up.
In the E-mail Address: box enter the email address provided to you by KEI.
Click Next
The E-mail Server Names: screen comes up
Make sure that the top line reads My incoming server is a POP3 server
Make sure the incoming and outgoing servers (the 2 white lines) are set to:
mail.keinet.net
Click Next
The Internet Mail Logon screen will appear
In the Account Name box should be your username. Make sure it is correct.
In the Password: box enter your password provided to you by KEI
Make sure the Logon using Secure Password Authentication (SPA) is unchecked.
Click Next
Click Finish
Your are almost done!
Back in the Internet Accounts window select the mail.keinet.net account
click Properties
In the mail.keinet.net Properties windows click the Connections tab (fig 1-8)
Check the box Always connect to this account using
Select KEI as the connection in the drop down menu below the checkbox.
Click OK
Congratulations!
You have successfully set up your Outlook Express to send and receive your KEI mail.
